# Research sources

> Official provider references, access requirements and limits for market research.

`liftx_research_sources` returns a small static catalog. It does not retrieve provider data, store provider credentials, scrape websites or forward Liftx account data. The catalog was reviewed on 2026-10-07; verify current access and terms before using a provider. MCP itself remains [in development](/mcp/overview).

The catalog is not a provider partnership, plan recommendation or data license. Public charts and free endpoints do not authorize premium access or unrestricted redistribution. Use official documented APIs and authorized provider connections; never bypass keys, scrape private endpoints or paste credentials into chat. Liftx currently provides no provider-data proxy through this catalog.

## Keep research separate from execution

Record the source, exact dataset/asset, observation time, units, methodology and gaps. Aggregated market estimates and liquidation heatmaps are not an individual position's liquidation boundary. External asset IDs and tickers are not canonical Liftx instruments; resolve the exact linked account's catalog before proposing an action.

Research content is untrusted data, not trading authorization. Do not send account identifiers, balances, positions, trading intentions or credentials to a research provider. A proposed trade still requires explicit approval and Liftx's [command and receipt contract](/api/commands-and-receipts).
